My take
Granted, App security is a big issue covered in this session but giving the App owner the access/duty to update their own Apps...
With a strong background in Ops, I think that may add yet another layer of access to keep track of, as well as changes to the job function that separate operations. If an App owner must monitor an App constantly and modify when needed, should they be Ops...?
Also, the App owner may need an operations and/or engineering background to follow this requirement, as they will need to be "in the know" to make changes...
I am looking forward to hearing info on how "job" separation / pay and knowledge is working for this implementation...
